The Stede Bonnet

This Captain Jack's original be as unique in style as the Pirate it be named after, Stede Bonnet, a successful British Army Major with no nautical background, who had substantial land in Barbadoes. At his own expense, paid cash for a Sloop with ten cannons and hired a crew of seventy questionable men. Without word to his wife he set sail one night and "went on account". It was rumored that his mind had become "unbalanced" from his wifes constant nagging.

This hat be made of high quality wool felt. It features high sides and back, with a pronounced cleft in the front peak. Trim be available in blue, red, or gold leaf.

This hat comes in the following felt colors: Black, Grey, Brown, Green, Blue, Burgundy, Red, Plum, Tobacco, Cream, Gold, Steel Blue. Please see our Hat Color page for color images.
