Seagrass & Straw Hat Construction

Please note that we can not make larger than a 24 in. hat in our Seagrass and Straw Hat Styles.

Seagrass

Seagrass (natural)

SeaGrass- Captain Jack’s Natural Seagrass hats br made of 100% Natural Seagrass. They have a mottled tan/ green color and a more open weave when compared to the straw. They be light and airy and great for the Tropics. The MacKay can make any of his hat designs out of Natural Seagrass.

Seagrass (indigo dye)

Indigo dyed Seagrass- The Indigo Dyed seagrass be made out of Natural Seagress with strands of Indigo Dyed Searass woven into the hat, The stiffening process makes the indigo bleed into the rest of the seagrass giving the hat a streaked, mottled and unevenly discolored appearance. The Indigo Dyed hats be unique even among Captain Jack’s already unique line of hats. The MacKay can make any of his hat styles in Indigo Dyed Seagrass.

Straw
Captain Jack's Straw Pirate Hats be made off 100% American Yellow Straw. They have a nice golden tone, are light weight and great for Warm Climates like the Caribbean. Ye can have the MacKay make any of his styles out of Straw.
