Captain Jack's Pirate Hats

I make most of me hats on a 23" hat block, as 'tis the most common size head. I can make yer hat in 21", 22", 23", 24" or 25" sizes for those of ye pirates with smaller or bigger noggins. Please indicate your preferred size in the comment section of the order form when placing your order.

One of the beautiful things bout felt is that it can be stretched. If yer hat tis a bit too small ye can easily steam it at yer home and stretch it ta fit yer noggin. If it tis a bit big I suggest ye wear a scarf or bandanna to complete yer pirate look. So, choose the size that will most closely fit.

Use a flexible tape measure, such as a tailor or seamstress might use to make yer new Pirate Clothes. Start with one end in the middle of yer brow ( just above yer eyebrows) and run the tape around yer noggin until it meets up again.  The tape should be snug, but not so tight as to leave a line in yer head. Make note of that measurement as it is yer head circumference.

If ye don't have a flexible tape measuring devise, ye can use a long piece of string. proceed with the same method as mentioned afore, and when done measure the string against a  yardstick, ruler, or metal tape measure ( such as a carpenter would use) to obtain the circumference of yer head.

Now, If ye are planning on wearing a Pirate Scarf, or Bandanna on yer head, under yer new pirate Hat, make sure that ye are wearing it when ye take the measurement, or the size will be off.

If ordering an Acrylic Treated or Oil/Wax treated hat, The MacKay advises wearing a Scarf or Bandanna for comfort, as these hats are Stiff and will remain so for some time.
