 I wanted to send you a thank you for making my Christmas morning very special. My wife, Elizabeth Dacus, purchased one of your spectacular hats recently and presented it to me as my "big gift." I was surprised to see it resting under our tree and became more and more excited as I examined the craftsmanship. It is a wonderful historically accurate piece and I spent most of Christmas day wearing it around the house.
 I appreciate all the help that you gave her with the order. She told me that she had researched the internet for several weeks to find the very best craftsman and I feel that she chose wisely. I have been involved in military living history for nearly twenty years and have rarely seen such good work.

So, today i received my hat. I was running out of time, and the one hat ive been dreaming about for months showed up on ebay. It is a year old, and still flawless, this goes to show just how well made your hats are! And while im writing this to you, Mackay, my hat is off to you. WOW!!!! WE ARE IMPRESSED!! I thought my husband was going to start crying when he received your Barbosa hat. He is already talking about ordering another one. We are using it for a pirate-themed trip down to the Lake of the Ozarks in Missouri. He cannot wait for the other guys in the group to see it (it is killing him to keep his mouth shut about it). Me hat arrived today, just as ye promised, and truly, tis a thing of beauty! Fer yer viewing pleasure I've attached a quick pic of me sportin' the thing on me noodle! I think I might post yer review in stages, as I have a feeling that the hat I have a year from now will be very different from the one I have now - fresh from the box, it's as if it's just been born, and has much maturin' ta do before it reveals its true self to me ;-)
On a personal note, I confess that I had a good deal of back'n'forth trying to decide whether I'd prefer the somewhat dramatic Barbossa or the more standard Blackbeard - now that I've the hat on me head I can tell I made the correct choice, and will most definitely wear it with pride each chance I get - and I'll never hesitate to refer any admirers to your fine business.

Just a quick note to express my thanks for "a job well done." I ordered a Jack Sparrow tricorn hat several weeks ago for a "Talk Like A Pirate" party held last evening (September 19th) at my pub. Well, I shopped around and around and around. And, I found leather hats. I found cheaper hats. I found cheaper leather hats. I just ordered my hat from you. I thought you'd like to know why.
Firstly, I very much appreciated the way you contacted me shortly after I emailed you. Secondly was your gallery. You know, all of the other sites I had been to showed one picture of their hat. I emailed a few and asked "Do you have any other pictures?" Either I got no reply or, on the one site, "No, our computer knowledge doesn't quite compare to our leather skill." Seems to me if you've enough knowhow to have an online store, you have enough knowhow to take some pictures.
Your site on the other hand had an extensive gallery of your work which indicates more than a little pride in what you do. I like that. I also know exactly what I'm going to be getting from you as well. I like that too. (BTW, the picture of the one "Captain Jack" by the Johnny Depp star on the walk of fame is great!) I'm very much looking forward to recieving my hat, and would be more than happy to send you a pic of the hat with my completed costume (when it's completed) if you'd like to add it to your gallery.

I love my new hat and it is the most authentic of any I've seen, made of the tar-pitch-oiled felt, pressed into shape similar to the old way... I love my new hat and am so glad I decided to get it from you, as the others were mostly leather and the care taken to make them was not as discerning as yours, nor were they as authentic as your hat. I also liked the letter you included on the history of how such hats were made & worn, explaining its authenticity. It came well-packed and unscathed in its sturdy mailing box.
